Insurance Council of BC

Overview
Water is the most common, most expensive, and most misunderstood claim type in BC residential and strata files. This course walks through the first forty-eight hours of a water loss as the adjuster, the contractor, and the IICRC standard see it — and shows brokers where coverage interpretation actually matters.
Learning outcomes
- 01Distinguish IICRC Category 1, 2, and 3 water losses and why the category drives the scope
- 02Identify the policy language that decides whether a loss is covered
- 03Read a moisture map and a drying log
- 04Spot subrogation opportunities at first notice
