Biography
Karim Chandani is Managing Director, Real Estate & Hospitality North America at Armour Insurance Brokers Ltd. (powered by Synex), with more than eleven years of active general insurance practice across BC and Alberta. He advises strata corporations, property owners, and institutional clients on insurance placement, coverage structuring, and risk management — and has advised insurers on captive program design, giving him a view of underwriting from both sides of the placement. He teaches the way he advises: plain language, current market reality, and no jargon for its own sake.

Biography
Yasha Rassi has worked both sides of the claim file. From 2013 to 2019 he adjusted property losses for Wawanesa Insurance; since 2021 he has run restoration projects at Winmar. That dual perspective — what the adjuster needs to see, what the contractor can actually deliver — shapes every course he teaches. He holds the IICRC WRT, the HAAG Roof Inspector certification, and the Insurance Council of BC Level 1 General Insurance licence.
